I recently had the absolute pleasure of capturing Rebekka and Marcus’ beautiful wedding at Aston Hall Sheffield, a venue that perfectly complemented their elegant and modern celebration. From the stunning ceremony to the lively reception, the day was nothing short of magical. Here’s a glimpse into their big day.
The Venue: Aston Hall, Sheffield
Both Rebekka and Marcus chose to get ready at Aston Hall, which made the whole day feel seamless and relaxed. The venue itself was the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The ceremony took place in a bright, airy room with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood in and offering a gorgeous view of the landscaped gardens. This venue not only provided a breathtaking space for the ceremony but also allowed us to use its beautiful gardens for portraits.
The reception was held in the same gardens under the warm, sunny skies—ideal for mingling and celebrating with family and friends. These gardens also set the scene for some stunning group photos during the drinks reception.
The Perfect Portrait Locations
For couple portraits, we made the most of the golden hour, heading to the nearby fields with tall grass that added a romantic, rustic feel to the photos. Later in the evening, we captured more intimate shots of the couple under the charming pagoda, creating a magical end to a perfect day.
The Wedding Theme: Elegant Neutral Tones
Rebekka and Marcus went for a modern, elegant theme with neutral tones that truly brought their vision to life. The floral arrangements were a beautiful combination of white roses, eucalyptus, and lush green foliage. The ceremony’s flower frame and the top table’s centerpiece were absolute showstoppers, perfectly complementing the overall decor.
Rebekka’s dress was by Martina Liana, featuring a long train, delicate lace detailing, and pearl-studded Jimmy Choo shoes. She looked nothing short of stunning, and the bridesmaids’ long lavender dresses added a soft, timeless contrast to the bride’s gown. The groomsmen wore classic navy blue suits, and Marcus himself stood out in a matching white rose boutonniere that perfectly tied the whole look together.
A Fun and Unforgettable Reception
One of the highlights of the day was the surprise entertainment during the wedding meal. Singing waiters got everyone on their feet, turning the reception into an impromptu dance party! It was such a lively and fun atmosphere, with guests singing and dancing—definitely one of those moments that will stick in my memory for a long time.
Perfect Weather for a Perfect Day
The weather couldn’t have been better—it was sunny with just the right amount of cloud cover. It allowed us to capture the couple’s love under the perfect light, while the guests enjoyed the outdoor reception without a hitch.
Final Thoughts
Rebekka and Marcus’ wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and joy. From the modern theme to the incredible energy from their guests, every moment was a delight to capture. I feel so lucky to have been part of their special day. If you’re planning your wedding at Aston Hall or looking for a wedding photographer to capture your big day, I’d love to hear from you!
