I have been extremely lucky to work at some truly spectacular wedding venues in Yorkshire. One of my favourites has to be Carlton Towers in Goole. As soon as I got the enquiry from Jake and Adam I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. We met initially over zoom then organised a meeting a few weeks before their wedding day where we discussed the final detail and planning for the day. Carlton Towers was transformed into an enchanting backdrop for their stylish wedding. It left guests utterly mesmerized. The historic character of the venue, combined with the sweet smelling blooms, perfectly created by The Blonde & The Blooms set the day for a celebration that will be forever remembered by all their close family and friends who were invited.
The day was nothing short of magical, I arrived nice and early to capture the setting up of the exquisite floral arch and aisle runners. The florists had been there working away since the evening before to transform the already stunningly beautiful room into the vision envisaged by Jake and Adam.
I headed up to the honeymoon suite which is situated in the towers. Jake and Adam were getting ready with the help of their groom squad. The bespoke dinner suits were created by Whitfield and ward and were made from luxurious black and gold contrasting fabrics and co- ordinated to match each other perfectly.
The ceremony took place in the Venetian Drawing Room. With the high ceilings and sparkling chandeliers, it provides the most exquisite backdrop for wedding ceremonies. There are large ceiling high windows which flood the luxurious dark oak room with natural daylight. Adam & Jake walked down the aisle with their Mums, it was such a beautiful moment to witness.
The drinks reception was held in the grounds at the front of the grand building, with some guests opting to head for a look around the beautiful immaculately kept gardens whilst others stayed nearby and listened to the amazing singing from Jennifer Owens. We did the small family group shots then headed round to the gardens for some couple portraits.
The wedding breakfast was held in picture gallery. Again, the ceilings lined with gorgeous glittering chandeliers and walls of dark oak wood bringing the style and elegance to the décor. The tables were decorated with high vases containing cream and toffee coloured roses with the top table lined with a floral display in matching colours. Both Dads gave speeches, filling the room with much laughter and joy and toasts of celebration to the newly weds.
As the evening reception began, Adam & Jake cut their wedding cake before taking to the floor for their first dance as Husband and Husband. The evening was filled with live music, including a saxophonist who was amazing! everyone was up on their feet dancing the night away.
Just before I left, we headed outside to get some night shots to finish off the gallery. It was a little bit drizzly, so we also managed to get some with the umbrella which looked amazing with the building lit up in the background.
