Leeds Wedding Photographers | The Cruck Barn Appletreewick Wedding Photography
Lindsey & Justyn had a very beautiful relaxed wedding at The Cruck Barn. From the moment I met them I knew their wedding would suit my style perfectly. The Cruck barn is an amazing little rustic wedding venue in Yorkshire which has been lovingly converted by the owners into a unique relaxed quirky wedding venue. It is situated at the Craven Arms in Appletreewick. The front of the building looks out over the stunning Yorkshire countryside.
I joined Justyn shortly before the ceremony to capture guest arrival and a few photographs of him and his groomsmen. The weather was warm and sunny and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed.
Once everyone had headed in side i waited at he front of the venue for Lindsey to arrive with her Dad. In true style Lindsey appeared walking along the road, she had stopped a little further along the road and wanted to walk to the ceremony and enjoy the stunning Yorkshire countryside views.
They met at the front of the aisle and had a traditional hand tying wedding ceremony. It was my first experience photographing this kind of wedding. It was so beautiful and personal to them.
Once the ceremony was complete we headed outside into the sunshine where they were showered in vibrant wedding confetti. They had an outdoor drinks reception which included a self serve beer pump in the little tipi.
The girls carried stunning wild flowers. The bridal bouquets were created by Yorkshire wedding florist Floral Dance which is based in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley.
Whilst everyone was outside the staff transformed the rustic wedding barn into the prettiest setting for the wedding breakfast, the room looked dreamy filled with fairy lights and candles and the gorgeous dark wood just looked fabulous.
The speeches were delivered after the meal. It was so warm inside they decoded to head out into the gardens for the rest of them. It was just such a lovely relaxed wedding with guests relaxing on the grass and enjoying the gorgeous evening sunshine. We decided to leave the couple portraits until after the meal, this enabled us to use the best light of the day. Once the sun had started setting a little the light changed into pretty and golden. We went for a little walk around the village for wedding photographs in Appletreewick down by the riverside. Lindsey and Justyn happily paddled over the pebbles along the edge of the river. The dress did get a little wet but as Lindsey said its what builds the memories of the day!! I loved this attitude, it enabled us to get the absolute best out of the scenery.
