Wedding Photography Denton Hall | Wedding Photographers in Leeds

Last year I spent a very wet and rainy day with Katy & Jake. They held their wedding at the beautiful North Yorkshire Wedding Venue Denton Hall, near Ilkley. Even though it was wet for the majority of the day Katy & Jake were smiling and embraced the weather. We still managed to get outside and create some amazing images. The great thing about their Stylish Yorkshire wedding venue is the inside is just as beautiful as the outside, therefore, the rain was never going to be an issue. The day began in the bridal suite with Katy and her bridal party.

Katy chose very natural bridal make up and soft curls for her hair. This was created by the fabulous Yorkshire Wedding hair and make up artist Louise Fawcett. The Bridal suite is very bright and light which meant beautiful clean and stylish wedding photographs.

During bridal prep I popped over to the main building of Denton Hall to meet Jake and his best man. We made use of the elegant interior and dark wood backgrounds to create some groom prep images.

The fabulous staff at Denton Hall were outside ready and waiting for the bridal party to arrive with umbrellas to keep them dry.

The ceremony room is simple and elegant, the guests all arrived and were seated waiting for Katy to arrive. Weddings at Denton Hall look amazing with the magical crystal chandelier above and the long aisle directly below.

We did get outside for the whole group shot and the confetti photograph, the sky was deep dark cloud, therefore, it was a race against time before the rain started. It wouldn’t be a traditional Yorkshire Wedding without a rain shower!! We headed inside just in time and finished the smaller groups and bridal party on the grand staircase. The staircase looked beautiful, lined with beautiful florals created by Rachel from Lily’s of Bramhope. With a sweeping floral arrangement along the staircase and delicate blooms on the wall behind.

The wedding breakfast room looked absolutely amazing. The blush pink against the dark wood was gorgeous. The catering was from Box Tree Events and tasted absolutely amazing!

We chose to do the bride and groom portraits after the meal. We managed to get some done outside whilst guests mingled outside the wedding venue overlooking the spectacular Yorkshire countryside.

Going into the evening reception, the hall is transformed. With music by an amazing live band, The Dunwells. They began nice and early which meant they were able to sing the first dance song live. What an absolute treat!
