The Priests House, Barden Towers Wedding Photography | Bolton Abbey Wedding
Jade & Mike came along to see me after spotting my wedding photography on Instagram, they are both keen cyclists and spotted my work through a previous Bolton Abbey Wedding. As soon as I met them I knew their wedding was going to be beautiful and stylish. They both have a love for the great outdoors therefore Their wedding photography was very important to them. They chose The Priests House, Barden Towers as their fairytale countryside wedding venue.
It was my first wedding at this beautiful Yorkshire wedding venue. Barden Towers is an old ruins and was the perfect backdrop for drinks reception. The Priests House has recently been lovingly restored by the new owners and is a great setting for an intimate rustic wedding. It sits perfectly in the distance when driving the winding road between Bolton Abbey and Burnsall.
Jade and Mike live quite a drive from Barden so Jade hired a local cottage for bridal prep. They chose Stank House farm Cottage – a beautiful little holiday cottage situated in Bolton Abbey. It has views of the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. I headed over to meet Jade and the girls, they were already in the process of wedding hair and make up. It was a relaxed morning filled with lots of chat, laughter & happiness.
The overall look and theme seemed to be very rustic and boho wedding. So much thought and detail had gone into the planning. Jade looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero wedding dress with delicate accessories to compliment the look perfectly. The girls were ready nice and early therefore we managed to get some beautiful photographs of the bridal party. We then popped back inside for those all important bridal portrait wedding photographs before we left for the venue.
As I drove to the wedding ceremony at The Priests House, Barden Towers I stopped to get a photograph. Its a beautiful North Yorkshire wedding venue. As I headed towards Bolton Abbey i could see the ancient ruins nestled amongst the vibrant autumnal backdrop and it looked an absolute picture. I carried on to meet Mike and his groomsmen before the wedding ceremony began in the old chapel.
After the ceremony had finished we went into the gardens for wedding photographs. We got some really lovely natural wedding photographs using the confetti. After the formal group photos were done we jumped in the car and headed for the beautiful golden sunlight. The wedding was quite late in the day as as it was a November wedding we only had a small window to capture the gorgeous evening sunlight wedding photographs.
We headed back to the venue for the rest of the day, Jade & Mike had decided on a 3 course wedding breakfast for their guests which was followed by speeches then onto the evening reception.
Between the meal and evening reception Jade & Mike supplied sparklers for their guests, we had planned a sparkler exit but it was so windy and as it had started drizzling we quickly went outside and did a much more natural version!
